Job summary

Standard Bots is seeking a Data Collection Operations Manager to lead our on-site data collection floor at the Glen Cove, NY facility. You will run day-to-day operations, work hands-on with the team, and ensure data quality and throughput align with our aggressive end-of-year targets.

As a player-coach, you will grow into more supervisory responsibilities while coordinating with internal teams, owning metrics, and building scalable processes to support AI model training and research priorities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience managing or supervising hourly workers in a production-like environment.
• Player-coach mentality with hands-on involvement on the floor.
• Track record of hitting output targets and maintaining daily/weekly metrics.
• Experience managing repetitive, high-volume work and keeping people engaged.
• Organized and proactive approach with problem-finding mindset.
• Clear written and verbal communication; capable of leading standups and documenting processes.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations on the data collection floor.
• Be hands-on initially to set standards and lead by example.
• Monitor weekly output to meet year-end targets and address shortfalls quickly.
• Maintain engagement and productivity through structured, repetitive work.
• Manage consumables, supplies, and inventory for the floor.
• Coordinate task rollout and retirements aligned with priorities.
