Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a cloud architect to design and implement production-grade data pipelines, lakes, lakehouses, and data mesh architectures across enterprise environments. The role emphasizes autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and governance compliance in healthcare contexts.

You'll build data products for AI/ML workflows, ensure data quality and lineage, and advance AI-native data delivery using AI-DLC methodologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
• Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3).
• Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade data pipelines, data lakes, lakehouses, and data mesh architectures within enterprise environments.
• Build data products that serve multiple downstream applications and use cases— from AI/ML model training to agentic AI systems.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy within fast-moving delivery engagements, making judgment calls on data modeling, pipeline design, and architecture.
• Navigate complex data access, security, and privacy requirements unique to pharma and healthcare including HIPAA and regulatory data governance frameworks.
• Architect contextual knowledge layers, including ontologies and knowledge graphs leveraging AWS Context and Bedrock Knowledge Bases for AI agents.
• Collaborate across organizational boundaries to secure data access and resolve data quality challenges with cross-functional teams.
• Deliver iteratively when requirements are ambiguous, translating incomplete business needs into well-architected data solutions.
• Apply AI-DLC methodologies to redesign data workflows to be AI-native for accelerated scale and pace.
