Job summary

Infinite Computer Solutions is seeking a Data Centre Specialist to join our on-site team in Piscataway, NJ. The role focuses on IT equipment rack/stack, troubleshooting, cabling, and datacenter operations with weekend shifts and on-call duties to support 13x7 coverage at the client site.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with server/hardware maintenance, power and cooling systems, and vendor coordination, with CDCP preferred. This is a time-bound assignment through 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT equipment rack/stack, server/blade hardware troubleshooting and component replacement.
• Knowledge of data center cooling, power infrastructure (UPS, PDUs) and safety.
• CDCP or higher certification preferred.
• General knowledge in server, blade, HCI, cloud, backup, storage, and network technologies.
• Experience in enterprise service management—Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request processes.

Responsibilities

• Support 13x7 on-site DC operations with regular weekend shifts and on-call rotation.
• Coordinate with vendors for on-site work and manage asset inventory.

Job Details:

Role: Data Centre Specialist

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Duration : 10/01/2026 till 09/30/2027.

Note:

• Resource must be able to work regular weekend shifts (fixed Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday, 13 hours shift, plus alternate 8hr shift on Mondays) to support 13x7 on-site DC operations at client location.


• Resource will be part of out of hours on-call standby rotation.

Job Description and Requirements:

• Resource must be experienced in IT equipment rack/stack, server/blade hardware troubleshooting and component replacement, structured cabling, tape media handling, write and maintain infrastructure technical documentation, and operational and procedural manuals, asset inventory management, procurement management - logistics, goods receipt, and vendor management.


• Possesses adequate knowledge and experience in various Data Center related technologies such as cooling, environmental management, cold/hot aisle, power infrastructure, UPS, distribution boards, PDUs, fire detection and suppression, safety and health in DC environment.


• CDCP or above certification preferred.


• Possesses general knowledge in server, blade, HCI, cloud, backup, storage, and network technologies is preferred.


• Experienced in enterprise service management - Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request: Analyze Technical Problems & Solutions; Apply Change Management; Lead, co-ordinate and manage Change; Apply Process Management Techniques; Drive local initiatives and projects; Perform Problem Root Cause Analysis; Perform Quality Assurance; Support information and site security audits; Coordinate and manage vendors for on-site work;
