Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a major data centre scheme in Dunstable. The role involves supporting commercial management, cost control, and subcontractor negotiations on a fast-paced project.

The candidate should have a main contracting background with experience on large-scale commercial or data centre schemes, NEC/JCT contract knowledge, and strong communication skills. Permanent or freelance options are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage subcontractor packages.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial management of the project.
• Manage subcontractor packages and accounts.
• Prepare and review subcontract orders and valuations.
• Cost reporting and forecasting; monitor project costs and risks.
• Support procurement and subcontractor negotiations; maintain commercial records.
