Job summary

Daksta is seeking an Estimator II for Data Centre - Project & Construction Management. You will prepare cost estimates for complex data centre builds, analyze specifications, and collaborate with PMs, engineers, and vendors to ensure budgets align with goals.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in construction cost estimation, proficiency with Bluebeam/PlanSwift, and a strong grasp of materials and methods. This on-site role offers growth and a focus on high-quality data centre facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction cost estimation, preferably in data centre projects.
• Proficiency with estimation software and tools such as Bluebeam and PlanSwift.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication to collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for data centre construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand scope.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align goals and budgets.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for competitive pricing and fit.
• Maintain and update cost databases reflecting market trends and pricing.
• Identify risks and opportunities in estimates and provide mitigation input.
• Support development of project schedules and budgets based on cost assessments.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide cost input.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations in estimation.
