Job summary

Reboot Monkey in New Haven, CT, is seeking a Data Center Technician to support mission-critical infrastructure at our on-site data center. This full-time role requires hands-on hardware, cabling, and environmental monitoring, with standard business hours and occasional on-call rotation.

You will install and maintain server and network equipment, manage documentation and asset tracking, collaborate with engineering and operations, and participate in capacity planning and upgrades.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience
• Hands-on with server and network equipment
• Familiarity with DCIM platforms and ITIL practices
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions

Compensation & Benefits

$60,000-75,000/year (USD annual)

Work Schedule

• Full-time permanent position
• Standard business hours with on-call rotation
• Shift differentials for nights/weekends when applicable

Key Responsibilities

• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE) - preferred

• Experience with DCIM platforms - preferred
• Knowledge of ITIL practices - preferred
