Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician in Fairbanks, AK to join our on-site team maintaining critical infrastructure in a world-class data center environment.

This full-time role involves installing and maintaining server and network equipment, performing structured cabling, and monitoring power and cooling systems. A strong focus on documentation and incident response is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Rack and stack operations experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with power distribution and UPS systems.
• Experience with DCIM platforms is a plus.
• ITIL practices knowledge preferred.
• Vendor certifications (Dell, HPE, Cisco) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.

Compensation & Benefits

$60,000-75,000/year (USD annual)

Work Schedule

• Full-time permanent position
• Standard business hours with on-call rotation
• Shift differentials for nights/weekends when applicable
