Job summary

Reboot Monkey in West Haven, CT is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for an on-site, full-time role supporting mission-critical facilities. The role requires hands-on work with cabling, server hardware, and DCIM tools, with an on-call rotation and opportunities for growth.

You will install and decommission hardware, perform migrations, and coordinate with NOC and client teams, using professional communication in English. A benefits package is included with this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills for Cat5e/6/6a and fiber optics.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on-site in raised-floor environments.
• Fluent English communication and professional documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
