Job summary
Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician in Ann Arbor to support critical infrastructure at world-class facilities. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on server and network equipment deployment, maintenance, and documentation.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in data centre operations, expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fibre), strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities, and a hands-on approach to power and UPS systems.
Qualifications
- 3+ years data centre operations experience.
- Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fibre).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
- Experience with rack and stack operations.
- Understanding of power distribution and UPS systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment
- Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
- Execute hardware deployments and decommissions
- Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security)
- Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams
- Participate in capacity planning and upgrades
