Reboot Monkey in Wheatland, CA is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for full-time on-site work at premier facilities.

The role covers hardware installations, cabling, racking, cross-connects, and documentation. Candidates should have 2+ years of data center or IT infra experience, with server hardware exposure (Dell/HP/Supermicro) and strong English communication. Certifications and DCIM/ticketing familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell/HP/Supermicro).
• Professional communication in English.
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS) or network certs preferred.
• Familiarity with major colocation providers.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
