Job summary

Cirrascale Cloud Services seeks a Level 2 Data Center Technician to support deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server, storage, and networking infrastructure in our datacenters.

You will act as technical escalation for Level1, diagnose hardware issues, assist with OS networking, remote hands, and participate in large-scale infrastructure projects in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data center, server, IT infrastructure roles.
• Understanding TCP/IP, VLANs and Ethernet tech.
• Experience with Linux environments.
• Familiar with RAID, storage and virtualization.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, and connect servers, storage, and networking gear.
• Troubleshoot hardware components including drives, PSUs, RAM, GPUs.
• Perform hardware decommissioning and data wipe procedures.
• Provide remote hands support, power cycles, and maintenance.
• Maintain asset records and proper labeling.

PositionSummary

CirrascaleCloudServicesisseekingaLevel2DataCenterTechniciantosupportthedeployment,maintenance,andtroubleshootingofserver,storage,andnetworkinginfrastructurewithinourdatacenterenvironments.

TheLevel2DataCenterTechnicianservesasatechnicalescalationpointforLevel1techniciansandisresponsiblefordiagnosingandresolvingcomplexhardwareissues,supportingoperatingsystemandnetworktroubleshooting,performingremotehandsactivities,andassistingwithlarge-scaleinfrastructureprojects.Thisrolerequiresstrongtechnicalknowledge,attentiontodetail,andtheabilitytoworkindependentlyinafast-pacedproductionenvironment.

RemoteHandsSupport

• Serveastheon-siteresourceforremoteengineersandcustomers.
• Performequipmentpowercycles,hardwarereplacements,consoleaccess,visualinspections,andtroubleshootingactivities.
• Executemaintenanceactivitieswhileensuringcustomerapprovalsandchangemanagementrequirementsaremet.
• Maintainaccurateassetrecordswithincompanysystems.
• Ensureequipmentisproperlylabeled,tracked,anddocumented.

DocumentationandProcessImprovement

• EscalateissuestoEngineeringorspecializedteamswhenappropriate.

RequiredQualifications

• 2+yearsofdatacenter,server,ITinfrastructure,orrelatedtechnicalexperience.
• UnderstandingofTCP/IPnetworkingfundamentals,VLANs,andEthernettechnologies.
• ExperienceworkinginLinuxenvironments.

Thebasesalaryrangeforthe DatacenterTechnicianII is$32-35/hrUSD.Thispayrangereflectsthebroad,minimumtomaximum,payrangeforthisjobforthelocationforwhichithasbeenposted.Compensationdecisionsaredependentonseveralfactorsincluding,butnotlimitedto,anindividual’squalifications,locationwheretheroleistobeperformed,internalequity,andalignmentwithmarketdata.
