Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Data Center Technician II to work in our Pocatello, ID office. The role involves provisioning IT hardware, cabling, and server infrastructure in a data center environment, with emphasis on rack layouts, space planning, and compliance with OEM specifications.

The position requires hands-on experience in data center installation, troubleshooting, and knowledge of industry standards.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of data center hardware and cable installation experience.
Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI/CI-Poly eligibility.
Knowledge of BICSI Installer 2 for Copper and Fiber; TIA-606 labeling; TIA-942 data center standards.
Certifications such as CompTIA Server+/A+/Network+ or vendor certifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate rack space, network connectivity, power, cooling and cabling requirements.
Develop technical solutions for complex server, storage, network, power, cooling, and cabling environments.
Install IT devices including servers, switches, routers, PDUs, KVMs, fiber and copper cabling.
Perform end-to-end installation of patch cables and cross-connect cabling.
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with vendors/techs; maintain OEM-compliant equipment.
Maintain data center infrastructure in operating condition including preventive maintenance.
