Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise environments in Council Bluffs, IA. The role covers rack-and-stack, structured cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and field replacements with emphasis on safety and standards compliance.

You will collaborate with project teams, vendors, and customers while maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in data center operations or IT infrastructure.
• Experience with rack-and-stack and cabling installations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and MOPs.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage per designs.
• Route and terminate copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling.
• Install PDUs and verify power connectivity.
• Provision equipment and OOB management connections.
• Perform basic testing, fiber verification, and turn-up procedures.
• Execute MACD moves and standard FRU replacements.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and inventory.
• Identify safety risks and escalate to senior staff.
• Collaborate with project teams and vendors.
