Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments.

You will execute rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling installations, equipment provisioning, testing, and operational support while ensuring work is performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with Ericsson and customer standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience required.
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure per designs and installation docs.
• Route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect to power sources, verify power and management connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and out-of-band (OOB) management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation activities, including continuity testing and fiber verification.
• Perform moves, adds, changes, disconnects (MACD) and standard FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain accurate installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
• Escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior technicians or site leadership.
