Job summary

Milestone Technologies, Inc. in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Data Center Technician I to support installs, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and cabling. You will work with Data Center Leads and manage inventory with accuracy.

Requirements include 1 year of hardware repair experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn new software quickly. This role also involves moving and racking equipment for projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid HS diploma or GED.
• Degree in progress or an associate/bachelor's is a plus.
• Hardware repair experience at least 1 year.
• Hands-on knowledge of computer hardware repair.
• Able to learn new software quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and professional.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.

Job Overview

As a Data Center Technician I, you will be working alongside Data Center Leads in supporting installs, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, and cabling.

• Start to understand, learn, and apply server repair methods to data center equipment
• Physically assist in moving and racking equipment as directed for special projects
• Other tasks as required by management

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• Associates or Bachelor's degree, OR working towards an Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus
• Minimum 1 year of computer hardware repair experience
• Basic knowledge of or hands-on experience with computer hardware /repair
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated, professional, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task

Compensation

Estimated Pay Range: $20.75 - $24.20 USD

Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
