Job summary

Nebius Group is hiring a Data Center Technician for our Kansas City, Missouri data center. You will troubleshoot hardware, manage server infrastructure, and coordinate with engineers to keep critical systems online.

This is a hands-on, shift-based role requiring lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional travel between sites. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), parental leave, and remote-work reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving server hardware issues in a data center.
• Solid understanding of data center operations, server architecture, and network equipment.
• Basic proficiency with Linux and command-line tools for diagnostics.
• Experience with server IT hardware, network switches, and fiber cabling.
• Proficient in documentation and record-keeping tools.
• Safety-focused with process discipline.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve IT hardware issues across compute, storage, and networking platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to address data center challenges.
• Install, upgrade, and decommission hardware per requests and projects.
• Maintain fiber, copper, and structured cabling per Nebius standards.
• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive maintenance and break/fix tasks.
• Support RMA processes with hardware identification and coordination.
• Document hardware configurations and runbooks clearly.
• Coordinate with shift leads, engineers, and DC management to meet standards and schedules.
• Participate in shift-level tasks and project work as directed.
• Report status of work items and incidents via Nebius systems.
