Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a technically skilled individual to join the Fredericksburg, VA site launch team. You will work primarily from Fredericksburg with potential travel to Stafford, Louisa, and Manassas to support training and operations.

You must be available for day or evening shifts and participate in a 24/7 on-call environment. The role involves hands-on hardware, network diagnostics, and maintaining high availability for data-center operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ year of computer networking experience.
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or higher.

Responsibilities

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Operate in a 24/7 environment with participation in an on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
• Perform in‑depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair of equipment.
• Assist with maintaining overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels for data‑center operations.
• Travel to active data‑center sites as required, including travel over 50 miles or commuting less than 50 miles.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the launch team for our new Fredericksburg, VA site. You'll be based primarily in Fredericksburg while scaling operations, and may travel to Stafford, Louisa, and Manassas during the initial months to support operational needs and training.
