Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain critical facilities and ensure operational integrity of electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair systems, coordinate with contractors, and help drive efficiency in a high‑velocity data center environment.

Position requires on-site work with potential night shifts and holidays. Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure and safety standards is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years in mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities.
• CPR/First Aid and NFPA70E certification during employment.
• OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops cost-saving, efficiency-improving strategies for operations.
• Maintain and monitor mechanical systems (Chilled Water, HVAC, CRAC/CRAH).
• Maintain electrical systems from utility to customer load (UPS, switchgear).
• Manage Fire Life Safety systems and detectors; ensure compliance.
• Test electromechanical assemblies and read schematics/diagrams.
• Inspect parts for defects and install components using hand tools.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal facility conditions.
• Coordinate with contractors for maintenance and upgrades.
• Support preventive/predictive maintenance program with CF Ops Lead.
