Job summary

Total Deployment Solutions in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to join our Data Center Solutions team. This role is ideal for someone with 1 to 3 years of data center technician experience, including hands-on cabling, IMAC, and hardware installs.

You will work on-site in a fast-paced environment, ensuring reliability and uptime. You will lead on-site support, manage moves, document rack layouts, work with vendors, and ensure optimal operation.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of Data Center Operations or related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of low-voltage cabling standards including Cat6, OM3/OM4, SMF.
• Hands-on server and network gear installation and move experience.
• Familiarity with IMAC events and project documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site data center support and IMAC moves under supervisor.
• Perform rack and stack of equipment and structured cabling.
• Install switches, servers, storage devices, firewalls, and routers.
• Diagnose hardware issues and coordinate with IT Services Desk.
• Monitor power, rack capacity, ports, and climate.
• Update rack documentation and assist with admin tasks.
• Interact with clients to build rapport.
• Escort 3rd party installers and follow security policies.
