Job summary

Amazon is expanding its AWS data center operations in Fredericksburg, VA. The Data Center Technician will diagnose hardware and network issues, perform repairs, and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 availability.

Some travel to Stafford, Louisa, and Manassas may be required as sites ramp up. Only US citizens with an active Top Secret clearance (with SCI eligibility) or higher are eligible to apply, with polygraph and clearance requirements after start.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
• Some regional travel may be required.
