Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center environment. The role supports critical systems, ensuring safe conditions and reliable operations for clients.

You will respond to BMS alarms, coordinate with vendors, and complete PM and reactive maintenance under defined procedures. The position requires technical training with 1–2 years of related experience and weekend shift availability.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in a technical discipline with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Clear communication with internal teams and management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Ensure the environment is safe for personnel and operations.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors per Master Service Agreement and company procedures.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Check BMS for HVAC status and address client issues.
