Job summary

Serverfarm is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to support data center operations at our nationwide facilities. You will manage MEP plant and distribution systems, monitor environmental conditions, and execute maintenance tasks through our CMMS while coordinating with contractors and site teams to ensure uptime and safety.

Applicants should have proven data center experience, ability to adapt to changing priorities, and excellent communication skills.

• Experience in a Data Center environment delivering customer requirements in a critical technology setup.
• Demonstrated self-management and adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure MEP plant and distribution infrastructure are operated and maintained safely per best practices.
• Monitor power and environmental conditions in all critical spaces.
• Perform maintenance tasks using the internal CMMS and plan corrective activities.
• Escort and support outside contractors while enforcing site rules and processes.
• Respond to incidents, document and mitigate issues, and communicate status to management.
• Support change control procedures and participate in site policy development.
• Contribute to achieving 100% uptime of critical infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
• Monitor power and environmental conditions within all critical spaces within the facility.
• Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS.
• Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities
• Escort and support outside contractors, ensuring they are abiding SF work rules and processes
• Respond to site incidents, execute appropriate MOP/EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event.
• Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures.
• Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management.
• Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management
• Adhere to all local, state and federal safety laws and requirements
• Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
• Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site.
• Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards
• Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure

Required Skills

• Experience working in a Data Center with proven success in delivering customer requirements in a critical technology environment
• Evidence of self-management and alignment with ever-changing priorities
• Good written and oral communication skills, tenacity, and working to a high level of accuracy
