Job summary

DSV in Sterling, VA is seeking a Data Center Supervisor to oversee loading/unloading freight, inventory, and server rack installation on a full-time on-site basis. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with 3–6 years in material handling operations and strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

The position offers a base pay of $80,000 annually, with compensation based on experience and location.

Qualifications

Must be able to pass any federal/state/local background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
Entry-level leadership role with responsibility for team guidance and process oversight.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Generally prefer 3–6 years’ experience in material handling operations.

Responsibilities

Oversees, organizes, and coordinates cycle counts, inventory replenishments and material returns.
Ensures adequate safety measures are followed to protect personnel and property.
Advises subordinates with questions or problems in any aspect of work activities.
Monitors work and examines production areas for accuracy, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
Recommends and implements documented changes to procedures to improve efficiency, quality and safety.
Performs or assists subordinates in performance of duties.
