Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks an engineering Intern to support data center start‑up and commissioning projects. You will own an improvement area, work with cross‑functional teams to develop solutions, and document validation results.

Responsibilities include lab testing, proof‑of‑concept experiments, and creating engineering documents while coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams. Must be pursuing an engineering degree with GPA 3.0+ and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any Engineering field.
• Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of one improvement area in support of data center start‑up and commissioning
• Collaborate within cross‑functional team to gain buy‑in on improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and create validation plans.
• Conduct focused research to identify trends in the industry and current competitive landscape.
• Assist with laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and product validation activities.
• Conduct proof‑of‑concept experiments and document engineering test results.
• Assist in creating engineering documentation including standardized work instructions, process and procedure documents, and test reports.
• Support sustaining engineering activities for released products, including investigation of quality, manufacturing, supplier, and field issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem‑solving activities for product and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Supplier teams to implement product improvements.
• Collect, organize, and analyze engineering data to support technical and business decisions.
• Learn and apply engineering best practices related to safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and product development processes.
• Present project findings, results, and recommendations to engineering teams.
