Job summary

NVIDIA in Hillsboro seeks a Senior System Designer to architect datacenter systems from chip to datacenter, collaborating across silicon, software, networking, and operations to deliver cutting-edge products. The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, performance/power/cost analysis, and alignment with supplier roadmaps.

Experience in high-speed board design, server architectures, mechanical/power/thermal interactions, and multi-discipline team guidance is essential.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working in complex product systems.
  • Understanding of how to design high speed multi-layer product boards.
  • Deep understanding of hardware architectures and server builds, including mechanical, power, and thermal aspects, and their interaction with at-scale datacenter deployment.
  • Hands-on experience solving challenging problems that span both software and hardware.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead multi-discipline teams.
  • Positive and dogged mindset to tackle complicated issues and a constant desire to learn and to teach.

Responsibilities

  • Drive architecture for datacenter systems considering everything from the chip out to the full datacenter.
  • Work with counterparts from silicon, software, networking, operations, and other teams to build cutting edge products.
  • Analyze performance, power, and cost of different solutions to inform project decisions.
  • Guide product teams with direction by integrating lessons from other products and developing new solutions.
  • Collaborate with NVIDIA’s key customers and system development partners while developing our products.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure industry roadmaps are aligned to our needs.
  • Work across engineering and operations teams to define and execute systems from concept through large production deployments.
  • Monitor competitive solutions to keep track of industry developments and trends.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
MS degree or comparable experience

What You Will Be Doing

What We Need To See

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 258,750 USD.


You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
