Job summary

Peraton seeks an experienced Data Center Storage Engineer to join a national intelligence program delivering engineering, deployment, operations, and sustainment of storage products and services for global missions.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with Poly, 8+ years of storage/backup experience, and strong knowledge of SAN fabrics, NCDA/ONTAP, and VMware. Primary duties include capacity planning, backup/recovery, and server storage allocation in a secure environment.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance required with ability to pass/obtain a Poly clearance.
Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience or PhD with 3 years relevant experience).
4 years experience may be used in lieu of a Degree.
Knowledge of backup software technologies.
Knowledge of storage hardware technologies.
Knowledge of SAN fabric technologies.
Certifications: NCDA, ONTAP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight of hardware and software systems, focusing on SAN administration.
Ensure system security is compliant with customer policy including patching and auditing.
Monitor storage, data management, and service levels; plan capacity.
Coordinate and communicate activities, outages, and schedules.
Maintain SAN cabling, configure servers, and support data recovery processes.
Interface with users as an integral part of the role.
