Job summary

Millennium is seeking a Data Center Specialist to own the day-to-day operations of two New Jersey data centers and a New York office technology room. You will perform racking, copper/fiber cabling, labeling, patching, and manage hardware lifecycles across servers, storage, and network equipment.

In this role, you’ll coordinate replacements with vendors, monitor infrastructure, respond to incidents in a 24x7 environment, and maintain ITSM/CMDB/DCIM records in ServiceNow and Nlyte.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data center or large-scale infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on rack-and-stack, copper/fiber cabling, patch management.
• Experience with ITSM/CMDB/DCIM tools in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day physical operation of two New Jersey data centers and a New York office tech room.
• Perform racking, stacking, cabling, labeling, patching, and cable management.
• Manage hardware lifecycle: installations, upgrades, moves, changes, decommissions.
• Coordinate replacements and RMAs with vendors; conduct capacity checks.
• Monitor infrastructure and respond to incidents in a 24x7 environment.
• Follow ITIL/ITSM processes; maintain rack, patch, asset, and inventory records in ServiceNow and Nlyte.
• Support network deployments: VLANs, link validation, basic L2/L3 troubleshooting; assist Network Engineering.
• Contribute to tooling, automation, and DCIM capacity platforms; improve runbooks and SOPs.
