Job summary

Google's Hardware Operations team leads the state-of-the-art data center infrastructure powering its search capabilities. As a Hardware Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Data Center Technicians, ensuring high-quality installation and proper maintenance of server hardware and components.

You'll oversee project work, coordinate complex network and compute architecture projects, hire and coach staff, and align data center priorities with Google's objectives while fostering a safe,

• Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and on-shift schedules.

• Ability to implement and drive the safety culture at the site, while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

As a Hardware Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Data Center Technicians. You will oversee the quality installation of server hardware and components and take charge of complicated installations/troubleshooting.

Your team will install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like Google's Linux cluster). They will also take on the configuration of more complex components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches and networking protocols. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $164000 - $237000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
