As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Security Officer to join our team and elevate our relationships with hyperscale clients.

Security Officer:

As a Data Center Security Officer, you will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and/or exterior), control access and egress, monitor closed-circuit televisions and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity, and perform other duties as specified in post orders. The Security Officer is trained to work on all posts at the assigned site and is available to work all shifts.

Responsibilities:

1. Patrol the exterior grounds of the facility.
2. Observe, report, and address suspicious activity.
3. Maintain awareness of surroundings to promote security and safety; watch for irregular or unusual conditions.
4. Monitor departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper property removal within client requirements.
5. Communicate and enforce security policies; warn violators of infractions.
6. Control access points, direct traffic, and monitor entries and exits.
7. Investigate and report maintenance and safety issues that may endanger people or property.
8. Keep concise and complete daily administrative documentation; maintain equipment.
9. Investigate security incidents, gather evidence, and complete reports.
10. Report fires, evacuations, hazardous situations, and assist during emergencies.
11. Manage crowd control and support emergency services during incidents.
12. Ensure all employees display proper company-issued identification.

Required Qualifications:

• Security Guard license

• Security experience in private or public sectors.
• Professionalism and high customer service standards.
• Ability to work any shift and multiple shifts.
• Strong administrative and data entry skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Climb ladders and stairs as needed.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.
• Differentiate warning signs and labels.
• Work in varying environmental conditions, including outdoor weather and noisy environments.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for travel, as needed.
