Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Data Center Security Manager in Frederick, MD to lead the security program for our data center operations. You will oversee security staff, manage access control, CCTV, and coordination with external vendors to ensure continuous, safe operations.

The role focuses on incident response, KPI-driven improvements, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest security standards in a critical infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or Security Manager at facilities with physical security duties.
• 2+ years overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
• Experience with access control and CCTV systems.
• 1+ year in data center or other critical environment, or equivalent security discipline experience.
• 2+ years of security-related professional experience; 1+ year in leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract security staff and daily operations.
• Manage data center security and access control.
• Coordinate with security vendors and contractors.
• Maintain availability for emergency response and incident notification.
• Develop and implement KPI-driven improvement plans.
