Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Data Center Quality Assurance Manager to work on site in Las Vegas, NV. You will lead a team of inspectors to ensure workmanship, materials, and equipment conform to contract requirements and maintain a defects log throughout construction.

Responsibilities include monitoring contractor quality programs, notifying the CLIENT of test failures, overseeing punchlist and zero-defect walkthroughs, and preparing weekly and monthly progress reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required with 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture preferred.
• 15 years of construction and/or quality management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of inspectors to review workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformance with contracts.
• Maintain a defect log and administer non-conformance and open issues reconciliation.
• Monitor contractor quality programs to ensure adherence to the project plan.
• Notify CLIENT of test failures and plan corrective actions.
• Oversee punchlist and Zero Defect walkthrough processes.
• Report critical issues to Construction Management Lead and drive resolutions.
• Provide input for weekly and monthly progress reports and client communications.
• Act as the owner’s point of contact to ensure successful project execution on site.
• Summarize significant test results in progress reports and retain test records.
• Coordinate client outage/shutdown procedures and onsite site visits for QA and safety.

Job Description

AECOMis seeking Data Center Quality Assurance Managers to work on site in Las Vegas, NV.

Job responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

• Lead team of inspectors reviewing the construction contractors’ workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformity with the requirements of the construction contracts.
• Maintain a list of all defects and omissions.
• Maintain Non-Conformance Notice and Open Issues Log Reconciliation.
• Monitor the contractors’ quality program for conformance to the plan throughout the course of construction.
• Notify CLIENT of test failures and plan corrective actions.
• Perform Punchlist oversight and participate in Zero Defect walkthrough.
• Reports critical issues to the Construction Management Lead and provide proper resolution.
• Provides input for weekly project reports and monthly progress reports.
• Serves as the direct point of contact for the Owner, ensuring successful project execution and communication.
• Summarizing significant test results in progress reports.
• Verifying that tests are conducted as scheduled, witnessing selected tests, checking test results, if required, overseeing retesting, and retaining test records.
• Maintain professionalism in attire and communication during all time on site and in meetings.
• Represent the Client in alignment with contract requirements and project deliverables.
• Conducts periodic site visits for quality assurance, safety compliance, and project tracking.
• Coordinate client Outage / Shutdown Procedure.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

• 15 years of experience with construction and/or quality management
• CQM or other professional certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.

Additional Information

• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• Relocation is not available for this position.
• Potential up to 90% travel anywhere in US.
