You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards while providing high capacity at minimal cost. The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction activities within operational data center spaces, focusing on infrastructure improvements to optimize space, power, and cooling. These projects extend beyond standard construction and maintenance tasks.

We seek an experienced Data Center Project Manager to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. You will oversee projects involving electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines. A fundamental understanding of these systems is essential to identify improvements and act on data from various teams. Candidates should be capable of designing and deploying innovative solutions to operational challenges, working independently and within multidisciplinary teams. Projects may include upgrades to electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems. The Project Manager will ensure projects align with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years managing projects in data centers or similar critical infrastructure
  • 5+ years in Construction or Project Management
  • 5+ years in Vendor Management
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related technical field, with 3+ years experience in power distribution and mechanical cooling systems in data centers
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas with stakeholders
  • Proven success in delivering results in fast-paced environments, detail-oriented, self-motivated
  • Experience leading projects, achieving goals, and taking ownership
  • Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making
  • Experience managing contracts and vendor relationships
