Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, L.L.C. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Dallas to oversee construction activities, coordinate with field teams, prepare safety plans, and manage subcontractor contracts and change orders.

You will work across design disciplines to ensure scope, schedule, and budget alignment and participate in monthly status reviews. The role requires at least 3 years in construction, a relevant degree, strong communication, and the ability to multitask and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of construction experience.
  • Able to perform Assistant Project Manager duties proficiently.
  • Experience managing all aspects of construction projects including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical.
  • Working knowledge of Prolog and other construction software.
  • Basic understanding of financial accounting systems.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate, as both may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project business.
  • Work with field management to generate job specific safety plan for the project.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Engineer and project team.
  • Coordinate with Pre-Construction and Field Supervision to identify and deliver contract requirements, quality testing, and reporting.
  • Create staging, logistics, and phasing plan for the project.
  • Lead coordination of project activities and stakeholders.
  • Set up bonding and/or Subguard, change order log, and cost tracking for the project.
  • Set up project in Prolog and other systems (e.g., E1).
  • Oversee project startup, permits, licenses, and site management.
  • Facilitate subcontractor pre-mobilization/startup and manage subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Assist in development, planning, and updating of overall project and attend scheduling meetings.
  • Lead implementation of the project quality control plan.
  • Conduct bi-weekly safety surveys with project team.
  • Expedite material deliveries according to project schedule.
  • Review projections, labor reports, safety documents, and schedules monthly.
  • Prepare payment requests and monitor expenditures.
  • Meet with city and state agencies to review project progress.
  • Attend OAC progress meetings and produce monthly status updates.
  • Enter and update information in project management software with status reports and change orders.
  • Manage close-out documentation and procedures.

  • Assist in development, planning, and updating of overall project Attend/direct regular job scheduling meetings.
  • Lead responsibility for project quality control plan implementation and

  • Prioritize, review and expedite
  • Expedite material deliveries according to project schedule
  • Understand quantity updating and work with Superintendents to maintain accurate labor
  • Develop and administer subcontractor and purchase order change

  • Review and approve material/equipment invoices according to project
  • Prepare payment requests and monitor
  • Meet with city and state agencies to review project and
  • Attend OAC progress meetings and create monthly status
  • Enter and update information in project management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, and RFI’s).
  • Manage and oversee job close-out documentation and procedures (closeout documents, final job report, and final accounting).
  • Mentor and train assistant project managers and co-op/intern
