Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a detail-oriented Program Manager for its Infrastructure Operations team. The role centers on leading capital and operating projects within data centers, coordinating with internal operations, engineering, legal, and finance to deliver improvements.

We expect strong communication, adaptability in ambiguity, and a track record of guiding multi-disciplinary teams to completion, while optimizing safety, cost, and reliability for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements, budget, design, and implementation of assigned projects.
• Assess maintenance program requirements and build an 18-month project forecast.
• Facilitate creation of SOWs with partner teams in contracts, RFQs, changes, and invoicing.
• Evaluate performance and work product of on-site partners and escalate issues.
• Identify and communicate needs for design improvements.
• Monitor and enforce project schedules and quality with teams and partners.
• Lead coordination between internal teams and outside partners on equipment, materials, and layout.
• Evaluate risks and propose actionable resolutions.
• Build strong relationships with data center leadership across sites and stakeholders.
• Maintain general knowledge of data center operations and facility management.
• Be detail-oriented and self-motivated to follow through on projects.
• Continually improve knowledge about data center technologies.
