Job summary

Amazon is seeking a motivated and data-driven procurement category manager to support the Americas data center construction space. You will create and implement sourcing strategies, collaborate with internal partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, and develop metrics to hold vendors accountable for performance and delivery.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, strategic, and globally minded, with strong skills in data analysis, vendor negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience.
• 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations.
• Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python.
• Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement sourcing strategies within construction services space.
• Collaborate with internal partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks and costs.
• Develop metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery.
• Drive results through competitive bidding, negotiation and data analysis.
• Influence teams and manage multiple initiatives with autonomy.
• Engage across AWS to maintain safety, security and cost efficiency.
