Job description

Lenovo is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Power and Cooling Support Manager. This role is focused on supporting key relationships with globally based clients, supporting sales, and managing as well as scheduling the Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS) Power and Cooling (PNC) support team while contributing to the business review and revenue recognition

This position represents a rewarding opportunity to use your experience and skills in a dynamic, complex organization and to deliver across our major customer sites.

Responsibilities:

As the Global PNC Support Manager, you will lead the technical strategy, operational support, and lifecycle management for the high-density infrastructure powering our most advanced Neptune® liquid cooled AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters.

This is not a traditional facility management role. You will be the primary authority on Liquid Cooling (LC) technologies—including Direct-to-Chip (DTC) and Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx)—ensuring that our global power and thermal envelopes can support the extreme demands of next-generation GPU and TPU architectures. You will bridge the gap between hardware engineering, facility operations, and sustainability teams

Activities include
  • Management of the global technical support team performing HPC and AI cluster administration
  • Coordinate with delivery organizations to maintain high performance levels for service-related processes and continuous improvement
  • Partner with internal R&D and silicon vendors (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) to align facility capabilities to support future hardware thermal design power (TDP) roadmaps.
  • Manage relationships with global cooling OEMs (e.g., Vertiv, Schneider Electric, nVent, etc) to ensure rapid spare-parts availability and specialized technician support.
  • Act as the highest escalation point for thermal, liquid or power-related outages.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for leaks, pressure drops, or thermal excursions, implementing global remediations.
  • Serve as the global lead for supporting Lenovo’s solution for Liquid-to-Liquid and Liquid-to-Air cooling systems, overseeing Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), secondary fluid loops, and manifold integrations.
  • Manage the chemistry and filtration standards for cooling fluids to prevent corrosion, scaling, and biological growth across global sites.
  • Develop and standardize global Maintenance Window (MW) procedures for "hot-swapping" liquid-cooled components in production AI environments.
  • Review, Statement of Work (SoW), projects size and scope.
  • Responsible for PNC support team utilization and resource assignment
  • Take ownership of the most critical incidents, coordinate with resolution parties, and establish effective communication between stakeholders
  • Assume ownership of and resolve escalations, providing clear summaries and recommendations.
  • Participate in regular service review meetings
  • Provide accurate and regular reports on the performance of service delivery
  • Define the best operating model along with KPIs ensuring the best customer experience utilizing different teams within Lenovo.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years internal or external experience in applicable field of expertise, ideally in the information technology, high-performance computing and support services industry.
  • Experience managing a technical support team.
  • Experience managing infrastructure across different regulatory environments (EUROPE, META, North America, APAC and LATAM).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to explain the "Thermal Resistance" of a cold plate to a C-suite executive or a facility technician with equal clarity.
  • Remains calm and analytical during high-stakes infrastructure failures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship building with proven ability to motivate and influence across teams.
  • Strong support service delivery, time, project, and priority management skills.
  • Experience with managing critical and complex customer situations or incidents.
  • Project Management/Change Management/ ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Commercial experience in information technology and high-performance computing, with familiarity with the use of cloud services economics is a plus.
  • Training or experience in negotiation
  • Training or experience in project accounting
  • English language required. Additional languages such as German, Spanish or French would be an advantage
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license. CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or specialist cooling certifications.
  • Experience with Immersion Cooling (Single or Two-Phase) is a significant plus.

The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is 132,200–202,745 USD. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.
