Data Center Operations Technician IV - Night Shift (AT1)(1683)

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Technician IV for night shift at CoreSite, a leader in high-performance data centers and interconnection solutions. This role involves ensuring operational integrity and regulatory compliance of electrical, mechanical, fire life safety systems, and communications infrastructure within our data centers.

Shift Details: 10:00pm - 8:00am, Sunday - Wednesday.

The responsibilities include managing chilled water and HVAC systems, electrical power distribution, fire safety systems, and communications infrastructure. The technician will work closely with the Data Center Manager to maximize uptime, ensure safety, and improve efficiency through innovative solutions.

Key Duties:

  • Serve as subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire life safety systems.
  • Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions in facility systems.
  • Mentor junior staff and collaborate on maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure maximum operational efficiency and manage systems to prevent outages.
  • Manage mechanical and electrical systems and ensure compliance with fire and electrical codes.
  • Develop and follow procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Handle trouble tickets, work orders, infrastructure projects, and inventory management.
  • Maintain security, provide customer service, and monitor fire alarm systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of data center electrical, mechanical, and fire safety systems.
  • 5-7 years of experience with large industrial systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and control systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to pass background checks and work in a high-stress environment.
