Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician in Covington, GA to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities. You will work on electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling equipment, ensuring high reliability and uptime.

The role requires flexible scheduling, 2+ years in electrical/mechanical maintenance, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

Hands-on electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
Experience reading procedures and engineering drawings is a plus.
Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems for 24/7 uptime.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
Troubleshoot facility and rack events within internal SLAs.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
PM, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Write technical docs to support change management.
Track and resolve daily work requests; manage projects end-to-end.
On-site support for contractors and vendors per practices and local laws.
Shifts up to 12 hours; some locations require on-call rotations.
Role may support multiple locations/sites.
