Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Data Center Supervisor II for the A-Shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) at the New Albany, USA location. This senior supervisory role oversees the Support department, coordinating supervisors, material handlers, and leads to ensure timely builds, inventory accuracy, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent and brings 3–6 years in material handling with at least 3 years in supervisory Data Center Support operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• 3–6 years’ experience in material handling operations, with at least 3 years supervisory experience in Data Center Support Operations.
• Must be able to pass any background checks, clearances, and/or drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates activities of dept. supervisors, material handlers, and team leads.
• Schedules and trains for Support team functions including standard builds, decommissions, rack moves, server builds.
• Compiles reports for management on financial or operational matters of the area.
• Primary escalation point for damage, quality, safety, or performance issues within the Support Dept.
• Analyzes forecasts to align with client hardware operations to meet schedules and priorities.
• Oversees annual inventory process and stock accuracy.
• Monitors work and client troubleshooting software for stoppages and adherence to policies.
• Participates in ordering stock items to replenish levels.
• Ensures standardization of activities across shifts and server platforms.
• Final quality control for Support dept. activity prior to handoff to client.
• Trains supervisors and associates in server installation and fixture handling.
