Job summary

Salute is seeking a Data Center Operator to join our Hoffman Estates facility. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, monitor operation, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to incidents to maximize uptime.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree, hands-on equipment knowledge, and the ability to work with contractors and MSOs in a mission-critical environment. Onsite work includes flexibility for occasional unusual hours.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
• Excellent sight, hearing, and motor skills.
• Background check may be required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions of facility systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance work with multiple trades.
• Inspect HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems for safe operation.
• Respond to indoor emergencies and air quality concerns.
• Coordinate work requests and supervise contractors and MSOs.
