Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Data Center Administrator to manage and troubleshoot data center infrastructure, monitor alarms, and coordinate with contractors and vendors. The role includes backup coverage for the Data Center Manager, daily maintenance, and safety duties.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively, is organized, and can work under pressure while traveling to various work-site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, vendors and customers.
• Self-starter and team player.
• Must be organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans.
• Firm understanding and operation of building automation systems for all mechanical equipment.
• Interpret processes, flow charts, building plans and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure systems.
• Provide support to customers, staff and contractors; back up to Data Center Manager as directed.
• Monitor and report on data center alarms, tickets, incidents, and performance.
• Coordinate with vendors/partners and oversee contractor work to meet specifications.
• Perform cleaning and safety procedures; manage shipping/receiving with NOC support.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support audits and certifications as needed.
