Job summary

Google Data Center team designs and operates advanced electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Facilities Technicians monitor and support data center conditions, inspect and repair components, reading blueprints and guiding tours of systems.

As a Technical Operations Manager, you partner with Data Center engineering, hardware ops, and vendors to ensure operability, maintainability, and reliability across assets.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 9 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls in an industrial/commercial environment.
• 3 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Reliability Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Test, validate, improve, and certify new processes and procedures for critical equipment operation for data center domain.
• Lead efforts to perform compliance activities for a data center and analyze results for global teams.
• Monitor data center systems operations, control site activities to minimize risk and ensure effective response to excursions.
• Ensure sites follow facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally with improvements.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
