Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technical Team Lead to perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs in a large data center. This on-site role is located in Michigan City, Indiana, with 12-hour shifts (7a-7p) on a 4-3-3-4 schedule and requires DCS experience plus mechanical and electrical aptitude.

You will coordinate daily activities, guide maintenance efforts, and oversee building systems while coordinating with tenants and vendors to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• Journeyman Electrician or HVAC license preferred.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities: schedule, tasks, deadlines, and coaching.
• Implement preventive maintenance improvements and maintain safety manuals.
• Coordinate maintenance with contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians.
• Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues.
• Maintain communication with tenants, clients, owners, facility management, and vendors.
• Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Apply disciplinary knowledge to achieve team objectives.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
