Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking an experienced Data Center Operations professional to serve as the on-site expert for critical infrastructure. You will own escalations, manage design risks, and drive change management for high-risk maintenance in a live data center.

You will coordinate with colo partners, vendors, and internal teams to ensure site reliability and operational excellence, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• You've operated or led critical-facilities operations in a live data center.
• You know the critical-infrastructure stack (power and cooling) and can act as on-site authority.
• You run change management for high-risk work and hold partners to a maintenance standard.
• You're a calm, capable first responder when something fails at 3am.
• You audit, document, and improve, strengthening the site's operating posture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site SME for data center critical infrastructure, handling escalations across the white space and the supporting facilities.
• Understand and manage site design limitations and risks, and audit colocation partners and service providers on maintenance programs.
• Own the change management process for high-risk maintenance activities in the data center.
• Act as first responder on-site for incidents, driving resolution with engineering support.
• Partner with colo partners, vendors, and internal teams to keep the site reliable and feed learnings back into design.
