Data Center Operations Engineering - Project Assistant
Base pay range: $34.00/hr – $34.00/hr

About the Role
The DCOE Project Assistant supports the DCOE management team and provides administrative support in critical infrastructure environments essential to the client’s business. This role focuses on essential services to highly technical, emerging technologies and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to DCOE team members.
- Collaborate with various data center operation teams.
- Manage and provide written follow-ups on weekly WebEx calls relating to vendor support, training, etc.
- Manage existing DCOE programs such as Vendor Laptop, Service Bulletin / RCA notification process, Power DB, etc.
- Develop and maintain reporting documents and spreadsheets.
- Provide follow-up on ongoing projects.
- Manage the DCOE team's folder structures, e.g., ARC Flash assessments and approved documentation folders.
- Coordinate vendor services and schedules.
- Work with vendors procuring services.
- Provide program review processes such as equipment minimum standards, site rules, etc.
- Perform work-related tasks as directed by the DCOE management team.
- Attend meetings, manage, and set up meetings via WebEx as needed.
- Maintain test equipment, ensuring quality & calibration.
- Order parts and inventory, ship equipment for a training facility.
Key Qualifications
- Experience operating macOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Ability to interact with engineering, operational, leadership teams, and vendors.
- Experience processing RMA parts and maintaining spare parts inventory.
- Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights.
- Knowledge of government regulatory compliance (OSHA, EHS, etc.).
- Experience operating equipment up to 50 lbs (pallet jacks, chassis lifts, etc.).
- Flexibility to work non-business hours (shifts), including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Climbing ladders and multiple flights of stairs.
- Standing for long periods.
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching tasks.
- Basic fitness for emergency situations.
- Quick response to troubleshoot or emergencies.
- Hand-eye coordination for small components.
- Clear vision, with or without correction, while wearing safety glasses.
- Ability to differentiate color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables.
- Working in temperature extremes, inside/outside.
- Working in elevated noise levels with hearing protection.
- Valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required.
