Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to drive QA across data center network design and construction. You will ensure conformance to AWS and industry standards from concept through completion.

You will work with design, construction, and operations teams to implement QA checklists, train partners, and measure performance. This role requires up to 25% travel and a focus on reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or equivalent field.
• 4+ years of experience in network pathway infrastructure design or installation in data center environments.
• Proficiency of NEMA VE1/VE2 or IEC 61537 for cable tray construction and installation.

Responsibilities

• Own Quality Assurance related programs to drive world-class quality in network infrastructure design of new Data Centers to achieve the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world.
• Partner with the Information Communication Technology Design team to ensure network pathway infrastructure designs align with Data Center Construction build plans.
• Define and maintain updates of Quality Assurance documents including inspection checklists and installation requirements from design specifications, Global Design Standards documents, Global Installation Best Practice Guidelines, Product Specifications for Inside Plant Cabling, Basis of Design and Quality Issue trackers.
