Job summary

Quantum Sky in McLean, VA is seeking a Platform Network Administrator to join a team building and operating next-generation data center networks that support AI and high-performance workloads. This role provides hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies and opportunities to grow into a senior network expert.

The position requires strong troubleshooting, ownership, and collaboration, with active TS/SCI clearance and IAM Level II.

Qualifications

Proven ability to diagnose complex networking issues.
Experience with data center networking concepts.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence polygraph.
IAM Level II to satisfy DOD 8570 IAT requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist in documenting, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-performance data center networking infrastructure.
Learn, support, and develop expertise with BGP, ECMP, VXLAN, Spine-Leaf architectures, MCLAG, RoCEv2, and related technologies.
Identify performance trends, capacity constraints, and emerging issues before they impact services.
Partner with engineers to deploy, optimize, and scale network infrastructure for AI workloads.
Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution.
Participate in network upgrades, testing, and operational improvements.
Travel up to 20% as needed to support deployments and maintenance.
Expand technical expertise through hands-on learning and mentorship.
