Job summary

KPG99 INC is seeking a Construction Data Center Project Manager – MEP in Somerset, NJ. You will lead mechanical, electrical and critical infrastructure CAPEX initiatives, develop scopes, schedules, budgets and risk registers, and coordinate procurement activities for data center programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field preferred.
• 5–10+ years of experience managing MEP/mission critical construction projects in data centers or similar environment.
• Experience with financial firms is preferred given the live data center context.
• Strong knowledge of critical facility systems: HVAC, UPS, generators, PDUs, controls, commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary project lead for mechanical, electrical, and critical infrastructure CAPEX initiatives.
• Develop and maintain scope, schedules, budgets, risk registers, status reports, and financial updates for stakeholders.
• Execute procurement activities: RFP development, bid evaluation, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, data center operations, MEP consultants, and third-party providers to align with standards and governance.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, UPS, generators, PDUs, controls, and life safety systems.
• Manage CAPEX budget and assist with vendor payments as required.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and industry standards; support SLA/KPI commitments.
• Maintain project documentation, change control, and meeting cadence; support sustainability goals (LEED, WELL, WiredScore, SmartScore) per project.
