Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the development and deployment of infrastructure solutions enabling large-scale air and liquid-cooled racks in AWS data centers.

You will drive system-level strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate with AWS builders and manufacturers to deliver innovative data center cooling solutions at scale. Expect travel and cross‑functional leadership across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of data center design, HVAC design, or related product development experience.

Responsibilities

• Make high‑judgement trade‑offs between priorities and essential features.
• Drive strategic direction for the team’s technical roadmap.
• Build and lead a high‑performing engineering team and manage performance.
• Establish operational excellence through metrics and process improvements.
• Identify and mitigate risks and unblock engineers and partner teams.
• Collaborate with partner teams to implement and improve processes regionally.
• Provide clear technical strategy and communicate across organizational levels.
