Engineering-Economics, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Support to assist the modernization team with commissioning, testing, and documenting mechanical systems in data centers and high-reliability facilities.

You will gain hands-on exposure to HVAC, chilled water, and controls, working with experienced professionals while building a career in mission-critical commissioning. The role requires collaboration across project teams, field observations, and documentation support, with significant travel

Qualifications

• Experience or exposure in mechanical systems, facilities operations, commissioning, construction, engineering, maintenance, building operations, or related technical environment.
• Ability to learn technical concepts and apply them in office and field environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and system information with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commissioning, testing, and verification of mechanical systems.
• Participate in field observations, equipment startup support, and functional testing.
• Gather field data, photos, notes, and system information to support documentation and project closeout.
• Support project teams with coordination, site readiness, testing preparation, and clear communication across stakeholders.
• Build knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling infrastructure, controls integration, and commissioning best practices.
• Maintain accurate project records, test forms, issue logs, and deliverables.
• Follow safety expectations and contribute to a People First team environment.
